Volume II Only Bound in brown half leather with gold detailing and title to spine. The binding is firm and in excellent condition. There is just some general rubbing and wear to the edges and spine. Inside, other than some toning and age spotting, the book is in Very Good condition, with no real damage or wear to speak of. Other than the mentioned signs of ageing, the pages are in clean and bright condition. In all, this is a smart example of the second volume of this history of France and Germany.

Undated, but from various clues within the text I reckon it to be 1870 to 1872 (+ or - 1 year). Some looseness at hinges with both boards being held by the strings but content still well held together. Some foxing/staining but no deliberate marks. Very small (less than 1 inch) light moisture stain in top corner of last few pages in margin only. Contains hundreds of illustrations including over 200 full page double sided plates. Most plates have no foxing or minimal foxing but a few have more (please see sample pics attached). 13 x 10 inch. Weighs 2.7kg. additional P&P may be requested.

Hardcover. Condition: Poor. No Jacket. This book is old and very worn. Its front cover and spine are completely detached and spine is also beginning to detach from binding. Most pages are heavily stained and foxed. Edges also heavily stained and foxed. Some pages are creased, some torn. Some mould. Book appears to have all pages present, however it is in poor condition. The set is quite battered, but a wonderful source of pictures, maps, and facsimiles.
