Prest is best known as the co-creator of Sweeney Todd the 'demon barber' who featured in 'The String of Pearls'.Penny Dreadfuls were a popular serialized form of literature produced during the nineteenth century. The works were typically published weekly in parts of 8 to sixteen pages at the cost of a penny.
