Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. "This edition of the Works of Max Beerbohm is limited to seven hundred and eighty sets, of which seven hundred and fifty are for sale and thirty for presentation. This is No.382." Signed by Max Beerbohm on the verso of the half-title page of the volume titled 'Th…e Works of Max Beerbohm'. Books all have a firm binding and the covers are bright and clean, although the covers of the 'Works of' volume have heavily faded. Contents are clean but there is some tanning on end papers and a little on some preliminary pages, and top and fore-edges. All volumes have the extra paper labels but being tipped in between the rear end papers, some of these have been tanned. The somewhat utilitarian dust jackets are all present but some have darkened spines, edge wear and a general wear and tear look. All books dated 1922 except the volumes Around Theatres 1924 and A Variety of Things 1928. (Will make a heavy parcel and so exceed the postage template advertised. Not suitable for overseas sale). Signed by Author(s).

Limited edition, number 470 of 780 sets, signed & numbered by the author in volume I; 10 vols, 8vo; offsetting to endpapers, 8 of the 10 vols with spare title label tipped in at rear; original harlequin buckram cloth, white paper labels to spines lettered in black, labels tanned, slight fading to spines, more so to the fugitive…purple volume (as usual) with uneven sunning to upper cover, light dust-soiling elsewhere; a very good and internally fresh set. Limited edition, this being number 470 of 780 sets (30 of which were for presentation and not for sale) with volume one numbered and signed by Beerbohm. The two volumes of Around Theatres are first editions, as Beerbohm's theatre criticism had not previously been collected.

8vo. 10 volumes, set. Limited edition. #509 of 780 sets (of which 750 were for sale). Each volume bound in a different colour cloth. Paper label to spine (and spare tipped in at the back of each volume). Volume 1 signed on the limitation page by the author. In d/ws as issued. Edges of text blocks slightly foxed. The spine of Aro…und Theatres I is tanned. The unclipped d/ws are tanned on the spines, with wear and tiny chips to the spine ends and top edges. The front panel and flap of A Variety of Things is detached from the spine and back panel. Near fine in very good d/ws. A very nice set of this rainbow/harlequin edition. The retention of the jackets has kept most of the cloth in near fine state.
