Orig. yellow cloth spine and glazed boards with color illustration of four Greenaway ladies representing the seasons. Tiny owner's initials on front pastedown, boards slightly rubbed, otherwise a near fine copy. Pictorially this is a reprinting of one of Greenaway's charming almanacs from the 1880's with appropriate information for the year 1925.

Soft cover. Condition: Fair. 39th Edition. Unhealthy copy, with rear cover no longer present. The frt. cover is mostly present but has loss from bottom right corner and vertical edge. The body of text seems to be fairly complete. 2 final pages are disbound. A number of burred/folded corners. It can be improved/restored, but will need some external input from a bookbinder. Cnrs. & other paper repairs can be done at home. (Ask for details if you need advice.) Still functional for genealogical data, but needs to be treated carefully in its present form. Size: 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Book.

Soft cover. Condition: Good. Pink worn covers , includes a chronicle of interesting and notable events connected with Penzance from the earliest times(AD 1014) by Charles H. Uren, also the usual diary, miscellaneous stories, facts information ,and adverts.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. This 1925 copy has been rebound in red cloth boards without the original paper covers. The spine has faded slightly and the rebinding has added mottled red to the paper edges which, in my view, add, rather than detract, from the overall appearance. The 'five Cricketers of the Year photo plate is present. A very good clean and tight copy.

Both covers have a picture of four women representing the seasons, printed in colors, a double-line border filled in with blue, and the title and author's name printed in black. The spine is yellow, page edges yellow, and endpapers turquoise blue. Small, neat bookseller slip inside the back cover, Near Fine. Nice copy. Schuster 16a. Corresponds to Thomson 63 in all respects except for the white endpapers. Part of a bookseller's private Greenaway collection purchased by us from her estate.

FIRST EDITION 1925, small oblong format, 78 x 104 mm, 3 x 4¼ inches, cloth backed glazed colour illustrated cream boards, all edges yellow, blue endpapers, (24) pages. Coloured frontispiece and title illustration, 12 half page coloured illustrations for the months and 4 small coloured illustrations for the seasons. Covers lightly browned in the margins, corners slightly worn, a few tiny marks to spine, no inscriptions, contents clean and bright. A good plus copy. Format as the Almanack for 1887, from which all the coloured illustrations are taken, with new text for 1925. Schuster No.18, 16a. MORE IMAGES ATTACHED TO THIS LISTING, ALL ZOOMABLE.
