A useful description of surveys in Missouri which preceded the construction of track for the Pacific railroad. This is a presentation copy, dated January 26, 1859, from Edward Miller, Chief Engineer of the Pacific Railroad. There are at least two slightly different states of this piece with the type on the title page reset. There do not appear to be any changes to the text or map. Graff 4043, BRE p. 249.
