Gilt decoration on front cover. All edges stained red. 5 1/2" x 8." 384 pages, complete. Several black-and-white illustrations, complete. Six additional pages in back advertising businesses and other books. Former owner's inscription in black ink on a front flyleaf: "Frank S. Fidler, Davenport, Iowa. Sept. 22, 1892." Pages are virtually pristine and intact except for the former owner's inscription, slightly bumped corners, and two dog-eared corners on two pages of Contents section. Covers are virtually pristine and intact except for cracking and splitting along front inner hinge (binding still strong and holding), slightly bumped corners, and slight wear to extremities. A Near Fine copy. Brief note in front: "This edition of the American Printer, while essentially the same as the previous one, contains some additional matter." Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. Eleventh Edition. Beveled brown (leatherette over cloth?) boards with gilt illustration on front and gilt lettering on spine. Many b&w illustrations. -- Covers edgeworn, substantially rubbed (moreso on back and spine); overlaid leatherette wearing away at edges in spots, especially spine extremities. Front inner hinge cracked but strong; rear inner hinge patched but patch is starting to come off at top. Former owner inscriptions on front and rear matter. Front blank matter especially edgeworn/chipping. Interior tanned, occasional foxing, recurring dampstains, shadowing from clippings. Occasional page edge chipping. Expected to see some markings, but couldn't find any. -- In Fair condition -- plenty of flaws, but still strong, intact, and complete -- highly usable. 383 pp. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
