She wrote poetry and a critical biography of Kate O'Brien with whom she was a good friend. At UCD among her contemporaries were Flann O'Brien, Mary Lavin, Cyril Cusack. Among her European colleagues were Jean Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir and others. She was a good cook and a frequent visitor to Italy. She was a highly respected educator, lecturer and a forceful personality. Herself and Kate O'Brien were close friends. Signed by Author.
