The page edges have a little staining - two small patches to the fore edges and also a little around the bottom corners. Browning to the insides of the covers. Rare original 1896 children's book, "Should Auld Acquaintance be Forgot." The book is overall in very good condition with some minor signs of wear and age. The covers have some mild wear. There is some partial light cracking the rear interior hinge, but the binding is still good and sound. The interior is lightly toned from age with some occasional light foxing. A few pages have some mild staining and a couple of leaves or so have a minor marginal chip or tear not affecting any text. The front fep has a period name inscription near the top edge. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection such as a creased page corner, etc. The book measures approximately 7 3/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches and is 245 pages long with a few black and white illustrations. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.

Condition: Good. No edition stated, but presumed first edition (hardback). 8vo (24cm by 16cm), 288pp. 24 b&w plates. Original blue cloth, gilt titling to the spine, dustwrapper. There is some foxing to the endpapers and the edges of the text block; overall, the book is in good to very good condition. The dustwrapper is in good condition only (some foxing, edges chipped). The dustwrapper has now been put in a mylar cover to protect it.

From the 20's to the 70's, Lombardo and the Royal Canadians kept ballroom dancers enthralled all across Canada and the US.
