As a rogue Southern Belle, a high-jinx expert, and mayhem confessor, you'll find her stories twisted, uproarious, revealing, delicious, quirky, surprising, warm, humorous, heartfelt, or scandalous. Take your pick. These true stories are about family, friends, co-workers, and others whose names she cloaks when telling her tales. Well, she had to. There's the story about how her knucklehead brother-in-law's attempt (and success) to change his mother's death date on her tombstone. And the dude who told his blind date she was the "wrong one" - but wait till you see how it turned out! Or her husband's bachelor friend who tried to break them up before the wedding but karma came back to haunt him. Gotta hand it to her, though, at least she's authentic while she divulges this confidential information. Writer and humorist known for her Southern Charm, St. John is a popular stand-up comedienne and lecturer. A Georgia Peach by birth but an adopted Alabama Camellia, Lee splits her time and humor between her Georgia newspaper column and as a radio and TV-contributor for the Charter Cable Network in Alabama. She can follow or slice and dice rules of etiquette; it just depends on her mood. And after she's done, there will be a story to tell. ; A print journalist turned advertising secretary turned sales representative turned English teacher, St. John's inspirations for her roguish humor are Erma Bombeck, Lewis Grizzard, and The Seinfeld Chronicles (Seinfeld). Her premature articulation gets her into trouble but the beauty of it is, she then writes about her playful misconduct. You may relate.Married for 34 years, her husband told her he wanted a challenge when he married her. Bless his heart. Appleton (1879-1951) was a prolific book illustrator whose work "capture[s] the air of innocence inherent in children without clouding it in sentimentality" (Halpin). The TLS stated that the volume which contained this illustration was "a treasury which may well seem to young readers inexhaustible" (Times Literary Supplement, 29 November 1930, p. 982).
