Dust Jacket is a little worn to edges and corners with very slight chipping to corners, otherwise unmarked, wholly intact and not price clipped. A very solid example of this not so common First Edition title in original publisher's Dust Jacket.

The boards are unmarked and free of any bumping. Internally, the pages are clean with just a couple of faint spots to the top corner of page 29-33, free of any previous owner names or inscriptions. The dust wrapper is in also in very good condition with shallow chips to the corners of the front and rear flap. Some creasing to the extremities. There are two small strips of tape to the verso of the wrapper, that may be removable with care. They do not show through to the front. The publisher's printed price has been neatly price clipped.

First edition, first printing. Published by Brockhampton Press in Leicester, 1965. This is a very goode copy. The dust wrapper, designed by Leslie Stead is slightly sunned at the spine and creased at the top edge. It has not been price clipped, showing the original 8/6 net price. The rear panel is slightly rubbed also. The boards, in the publisher's cloth, are free from notable chips and marks - endpaper neatly clipped. The internals are free from foxing, toning and previous owners ink. Comes complete with the W E Johns pre-printed letter, titled 'A letter to every boy who reads this book.'. The text blocks are mostly clean, though foxed and with some marking. Overall, this is a very good copy. Biggles is asked by Brigadier Mander, to investigate the disappearance of his son, Adrian Mander. Adrian has set off in his aeroplane to the Sahara to find the tomb of King Ras Tenazza. He has gone with a person named Hassan Sekunder, whom the Brigadier suspects is not to be trusted. Biggles gets permission to go and find Adrian, with Ginger and Bertie, as the Brigadier will finance the expedition.
