In it he comments on Liz as having had "an easy and decadent life in the vile U.S.".This set offers three graphic novels from Briggs. In the original pictorial boards, with the original unclipped dust wrapper to 'Ug'.'Fungus the Bogeyman' (1977) - Following one day in the life of the titular character, a working class Bogeyman with the mundane job of scaring human beings.'Gentleman Jim' (1980) - The story of Jim Bloggs, an imaginative toilet cleaner who devotes his time to envisioning a world his dissatisfying life.'Ug' (2001) - The winner of the 2001 Nestle Smarties Book Prize Silver Award, this book follows a misunderstood boy named Ug living in the Stone Age, who refuses to accept the limitations of the world in which he lives.Briggs is best known for his 1978 story, 'The Snowman', the cartoon adaptation of which is highly televised every Christmas.
