Add to basketNo Binding. Condition: Near Fine. Hannah, Jonny. Pedal Your Blues Away. Cakes & Ale Press, 2010. Original signed colour linocut by Jonny Hannah, measuring 16.4 × 16 cm, issued in a limited edition of only 50 impressions, this example number 32/50, signed and dated 2010 by Hannah in pencil and carrying the Cakes & Ale Press imprint vertically in red along the left-hand margin. The compact composition centres on an old-fashioned bicycle rendered in black, framed by two bright blue ribbon devices carrying the playful slogan "PEDAL YOUR / BLUES AWAY". Hannah reduces the image to a small number of highly effective elements, combining cycling imagery, humour and typography in a design that resembles a vintage handbill, shop sign or piece of invented commercial ephemera. The bicycle has an intentionally archaic character, with an exaggerated large front wheel and smaller rear wheel, while the surrounding black marks give the otherwise sparse composition additional movement and texture. Printed in a restricted palette of blue, black, red and pale ground, the linocut process is visible in the hand-cut line and slight variations in ink coverage, all of which contribute to the handmade character of the work. Dating from 2010, this is a particularly concise and charming example of Hannah's interest in vernacular graphic design, everyday objects and playful word-image combinations. Very good condition overall, with strong colour, light natural handling and slight paper undulation, and the pencil signature, date and edition number 32/50 remaining clear and legible. Add to basketNo Binding. Condition: Very Good. Hannah, Jonny. Fine Wines and Tricker's Shoes. Cakes & Ale Press, 2012. Original signed colour linocut by Jonny Hannah, measuring 36 × 50.7 cm, produced in a limited edition of only 50 impressions, this example number 11/50, signed and dated 2012 by Hannah in pencil beneath the image and carrying the printed Cakes & Ale Press imprint. The composition is entirely typographic, arranged in four bold horizontal registers reading "FINE / WINES & / TRICKER'S / SHOES", each line rendered in a different hand-cut display style: blue dotted block capitals, pale-green decorative script, tall deep-red lettering and broad grey-lilac slab capitals, separated by heavy black rules on a warm cream ground. The reference to Tricker's, the historic Northampton shoemaker, places the print firmly within Hannah's recurring fascination with traditional British trades, makers, independent shops, commercial lettering and vernacular graphics. Rather than illustrating wine or footwear directly, Hannah makes the language and signwriting itself the subject, producing an image that resembles an old shop fascia, trade advertisement or hand-printed bill. The linocut technique is especially well suited to the design, with visible hand-cut irregularities, varied ink coverage and printed texture contributing to the deliberately handmade character of the work. Issued through Hannah's own Cakes & Ale Press, the print is particularly attractive for its small edition of 50, early edition number 11/50 and unusually pure concentration on typography. Very good to excellent condition overall, with strong fresh colour and only minimal evidence of handling; the slight irregularities and ink variation are inherent to the linocut process rather than later damage. Pencil signature, date and edition number remain clear and legible. A highly representative Jonny Hannah print combining typography, craftsmanship, traditional British commercial culture and the distinctive handmade aesthetic of his independent printmaking practice. Add to basketNo Binding. Condition: Near Fine. Hannah, Jonny. On Ne Matraque Pas L'Imagination. Cakes & Ale Press, 2012. Large original signed screenprint and letterpress by Jonny Hannah, measuring 63.4 × 48 cm, issued in a limited edition of only 50 impressions, this example number 22/50, signed by the artist and carrying the numbered edition device and Cakes & Ale Press imprint in the left-hand margin. Printed in a deliberately restricted palette of warm yellow-ochre and red on pale paper, the composition combines a loosely drawn bicycle-like mechanical form with the emphatic French wording "ON NE MATRAQUE PAS L'IMAGINATION!", the word imagination dramatically divided across two lines and punctuated by a large red exclamation mark within the lower wheel. The phrase is associated with the celebrated political and poetic slogans of Paris in May 1968 and can be rendered approximately as "You cannot beat imagination with a truncheon", matraque referring to a police club or truncheon; it encapsulates the period's opposition of creative freedom and imagination to physical and institutional repression. Hannah does not reproduce a historic May '68 poster but reinterprets its visual culture through the language of hand printing, restricted colour and forceful typography. The combination of screenprinting and letterpress is especially appropriate, allowing freely drawn imagery to interact with the physical, poster-like authority of relief-printed type, and demonstrates Hannah's characteristic ability to make lettering function simultaneously as language and image. Dating from 2012, the work is a particularly strong example of his engagement with vernacular graphics and historical printed ephemera. Very good to excellent condition overall, with strong red and yellow printing, light natural paper undulation and only minor handling consistent with an unframed handmade print; the signature, edition number 22/50 and Cakes & Ale Press imprint remain clear. Add to basketNo Binding. Condition: Near Fine. Hannah, Jonny. G-Man Automatic. Cakes & Ale Press, 2006. Original signed colour screenprint by Jonny Hannah, measuring 63.6 × 43.8 cm, issued in a limited edition of 50 impressions, this example number 11/50, signed and dated 2006 by Hannah in pencil and carrying the Cakes & Ale Press imprint at the lower right. The composition is dominated by an oversized retro-futuristic toy ray gun labelled "G-MAN / AUTOMATIC", accompanied by a small illustrated figure and graphic details, with a separate red retailer-style label below reading "Kay Bruce Toy Shop" and carrying a small KB device. Printed in a restricted palette of black, red, ochre, blue and pale grey, the image strongly evokes the graphic language of mid-century toy packaging, pulp advertising, detective novelties and science-fiction ephemera. Hannah does not appear to be reproducing a specific historical toy; rather, he creates a convincing fictional product from his own imagined commercial world, linking the print closely to the recurring Kay Bruce Toy Shop imagery elsewhere in his work. The screenprint technique is particularly effective here, allowing broad areas of flat colour to sit alongside intentionally irregular hand-drawn line and lettering. Dating from 2006, the work belongs to a relatively early phase of Hannah's printmaking and already displays his characteristic fascination with toys, fictional retail identities, hand lettering and vernacular graphic design. Very good to excellent condition overall, with strong colour, only light natural handling and paper irregularity, and the pencil signature, date and edition number 11/50 remaining clear and legible. Add to basketNo Binding. Condition: Near Fine. Hannah, Jonny. Killer Diller! Cakes & Ale Press, 2008. Original signed colour linocut by Jonny Hannah, measuring 17 × 24.1 cm, issued in a limited edition of 50 impressions, this example number 15/50, signed and dated 2008 by Hannah in pencil and carrying the Cakes & Ale Press imprint beneath the image. The compact composition depicts a boxer in profile against a dense black rectangular ground, wearing red gloves and socks, blue shorts and a blue arm covering, with jagged red flashes around the leading glove suggesting the force and movement of a punch; above and below the figure Hannah sets the emphatic hand-cut lettering "KILLER / DILLER!". The phrase "killer-diller", associated with lively American slang and popular entertainment culture, gives the image an appropriately swaggering tone, while the overall design recalls the visual economy of a vintage boxing bill, gym poster or sporting advertisement. Hannah's use of a restricted palette of black, red, blue, warm ochre and cream, together with deliberately irregular relief-cut line and variable ink texture, reinforces the handmade character of the work. Dating from 2008, the print is a particularly concise example of Hannah's interest in boxing, hand lettering, vernacular graphics and twentieth-century popular culture. Very good condition overall, with strong colour, only light natural handling and paper undulation, and the pencil signature, date and edition number 15/50 remaining clear and legible. Add to basketNo Binding. Condition: Near Fine. Hannah, Jonny. Land Ahoy! Cakes & Ale Press, 2008. Original signed colour linocut by Jonny Hannah, measuring 19.3 × 16 cm, issued in a limited edition of only 50 impressions, this example number 38/50, signed and dated 2008 by Hannah in pencil and carrying the Cakes & Ale Press imprint beneath the image. The compact composition places the emphatic red lettering "LAND / AHOY!" against a dense black rectangular ground, with a circular porthole-like device at the centre enclosing a stylised red harbour or city skyline beyond a band of blue water. Hannah reduces the maritime subject to a particularly effective piece of visual shorthand, evoking the traditional cry announcing the sighting of land while presenting the distant shore almost as if viewed through a ship's porthole. The limited palette of black, red, ochre yellow, blue and pale ground gives the print the appearance of a vintage shipping label, maritime sign or piece of commercial ephemera, entirely in keeping with Hannah's broader interest in coastal culture, hand lettering and vernacular graphic design. The original linocut process is visible in the textured black field, hand-cut forms and slight variations in ink coverage. Dating from 2008, the work is a compact but especially characteristic example of Hannah's maritime printmaking. Very good condition overall, with strong colour, light natural handling and slight paper undulation, particularly towards the lower right margin, and the pencil signature, date and edition number 38/50 remaining clear. Add to basketNo Binding. Condition: Near Fine. Hannah, Jonny. The Cosmic American Funeral of Mr Gram Parsons. Cakes & Ale Press, 2008. Original signed colour linocut by Jonny Hannah, measuring 20 × 23.2 cm, issued in a limited edition of only 50 impressions, this example number 3/50, signed and dated 2008 by Hannah in pencil and carrying the Cakes & Ale Press imprint. The compact composition is set within a dense black rectangular field bordered by the wording "The Cosmic American Funeral of Mr. Gram Parsons" and contains a highly economical group of desert motifs: a yellow crescent moon, bright blue cacti, a branching red plant or tree and, at the foot of the image, an orange-red fire surrounding a turquoise coffin-like form. The subject is Gram Parsons (1946-1973), the influential American singer and songwriter associated with The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers and his celebrated solo recordings, who used the phrase "Cosmic American Music" to describe his desired fusion of country, rock, soul and other American musical traditions. Hannah's title transforms that phrase into a characteristically witty but historically pointed reference to the extraordinary events following Parsons's death near Joshua Tree in September 1973, when his road manager Phil Kaufman and an accomplice intercepted Parsons's coffin and attempted to fulfil the musician's reported wish to be cremated in the desert. Hannah reduces the story to its most potent symbols — moon, desert vegetation, coffin and flames — creating an image that resembles an invented country-music memorial, folk-art plaque or vintage roadside graphic. The original linocut process gives the black field and coloured forms a visibly handmade texture, with minor variations in ink coverage forming part of the character of the impression. Dating from 2008, this is an especially engaging Hannah print combining music history, Gram Parsons mythology, desert Americana, vernacular typography and dark humour. Very good condition overall, with strong colour, light natural handling and paper undulation, and the pencil signature, date and edition number 3/50 remaining clear and legible. Add to basketNo Binding. Condition: Near Fine. Hannah, Jonny. Jean Vigo's L'Atalante. Cakes & Ale Press, 2012. Unusual original screenprint on shaped wood by Jonny Hannah, cut in the form of a heart and measuring approximately 34 × 29 cm, issued in an edition of only 50, this example number 2/50, signed and dated 2012 by Hannah on the reverse and additionally bearing the numbered edition device and red Cakes & Ale Press imprint. The predominantly blue, black and white composition centres upon a smoking male figure surrounded by stylised waves, aquatic forms and Hannah's characteristic irregular hand lettering, with "Jean Vigo's L'Atalante" running across the upper part of the heart. The subject is Jean Vigo's celebrated 1934 French film L'Atalante, his only full-length feature, starring Jean Dasté, Dita Parlo and Michel Simon and following a newly married couple whose relationship unfolds aboard a working barge; Vigo died in 1934 aged only 29, but the film subsequently became one of the defining works of early French cinema. Hannah responds not with a conventional film-poster design but through a combination of romantic symbolism and maritime imagery, the heart-shaped support physically reinforcing the film's themes of love and separation while the blue palette and wave-like forms evoke its river and barge setting. Printing directly onto wood gives the piece an object-like quality absent from a conventional paper print, with the natural grain, cut edge, slight variations in ink coverage and hand-worked surface forming part of its character. Very good to excellent condition overall, with strong printed colour and only the minor surface irregularities inherent to the medium; the natural wooden reverse remains clearly visible and the signature, 2012 date, edition number 2/50 and Cakes & Ale Press imprint are all legible. A particularly distinctive Hannah work combining French cinema, maritime imagery, typography and the artist's interest in vernacular painted and printed objects. Inscribed by Illustrator(s).…

Add to basketNo Binding. Condition: Near Fine. Hannah, Jonny. The Gang's All Here. Cakes & Ale Press, 2005. Large original signed colour screenprint by Jonny Hannah, measuring 41 × 58.2 cm, issued in a limited edition of only 50 impressions, this example number 24/50 and signed by the artist in pencil. Printed in a striking restricted palette of deep blue, orange, yellow and pale blue-grey, the composition takes the form of a densely populated scrapbook of twentieth-century music, film and popular culture, headed by the emphatic "THE GANG'S ALL HERE!" and filled with hand-drawn portraits, slogans, names and fragments of graphic ephemera. Readable references include Jane Russell, John Garfield and "A Young Johnny Cash", together with phrases including "Rocket Man Says" and "Mystery Action Society", while the lower portion is dominated by "BETTER GIT IT IN YOUR SOUL!", strongly evoking Charles Mingus's celebrated jazz composition of that title. Hannah treats these figures not as a conventional historical group portrait but as members of an associative personal pantheon, combining country music, jazz, cinema and American popular culture with the visual language of record sleeves, entertainment posters, fan magazines and commercial advertising. Different forms of hand lettering compete and overlap throughout the sheet, making typography as important to the composition as the portraits themselves. Dating from 2005, the work belongs to a comparatively early phase of Hannah's independent printmaking and already displays his mature fascination with music, vernacular graphics and popular printed culture. The small edition of 50, substantial format and unusually rich collection of cultural references give the print particular collector interest. Very good to excellent condition overall, with strong, vivid colour, only minor natural handling and paper irregularity, and the pencil signature and edition number 24/50 remaining clear. Add to basketNo Binding. Condition: Fine. Hannah, Jonny. The Drowned Lovers. Cakes & Ale Press, 2011. Large original signed screenprint by Jonny Hannah, measuring 56 × 76 cm, produced in a limited edition of only 50 impressions, this example number 7/50, signed and dated 2011 by Hannah in pencil along the right-hand margin and carrying the printed Cakes & Ale Press imprint. One of Hannah's more atmospheric and folk-inflected compositions, the image combines deep blue, pale blue, pink, pale green, red and black in a dense hand-worked design centred upon two stylised red-gloved forms separated by a radiating black motif containing a small red heart, with the title THE DROWNED LOVERS divided vertically through the composition. The work has the visual character of an old broadside ballad, tattoo design, hand-painted sign and modern artist's print combined, reflecting Hannah's recurring fascination with folk song, popular storytelling, maritime culture, romance, death and vernacular typography. The hand-drawn lettering is fully integrated into the image rather than functioning simply as a caption, while the deliberately visible hatching and irregular printed textures emphasise the handmade character of the screenprint. Issued through Hannah's own Cakes & Ale Press, the work is particularly attractive for its large format, small edition of 50 and low number 7/50. Very good to excellent condition overall, with strong fresh colour and only minimal evidence of handling; pencil signature, date and edition number remain clear and legible. A substantial and highly representative Jonny Hannah screenprint combining narrative, typography, folk imagery and the distinctive visual language of his independent printmaking practice. Add to basketNo Binding. Condition: Very Good. Hannah, Jonny. Ouvrez Les Fenêtres de Votre Coeur. Cakes & Ale Press, 2011. Original signed colour screenprint by Jonny Hannah, measuring 36 × 50.8 cm, produced in a limited edition of only 50 impressions, this example number 26/50, signed and dated 2011 by Hannah in pencil beneath the image and carrying the printed Cakes & Ale Press imprint. The title translates as "Open the windows of your heart", and Hannah arranges the French phrase across a folded, zig-zagging banner in alternating rust-red and black hand-drawn lettering, with a pale-blue Eiffel Tower rising vertically through the centre against a densely worked ground of powder blue, ochre and rust-red marks. The phrase has genuine historical resonance: "Ouvrez les fenêtres de votre coeur" was recorded among the slogans of Paris in May 1968, including at Censier, and was later incorporated by composer Luigi Nono into his 1969 political work Non consumiamo Marx, which drew upon the language of the May '68 protests. Hannah transforms this politically and emotionally charged fragment of Parisian street language into something resembling an old chanson poster, hand-painted shop sign or piece of romantic printed ephemera, with the Eiffel Tower reinforcing the French context. The deliberately irregular typography, visible printing texture and restricted palette of pale blue, salmon, rust-red, ochre and black are strongly characteristic of Hannah's handmade graphic style. Issued through his own Cakes & Ale Press, the print is particularly attractive for its small edition of 50, signed and dated status and highly decorative combination of typography, Parisian imagery and cultural history. Very good to excellent condition overall, with strong fresh colour and only minimal evidence of handling; pencil signature, date and edition number remain clear and legible. Original signed screenprint by Jonny Hannah, measuring 38 × 56 cm, produced in a limited edition of only 50 impressions, this example number 16/50, signed and dated 2006 by Hannah in pencil along the right-hand margin, with the printed Cakes & Ale Press imprint below. Printed predominantly in deep blue, pale blue and white, the image resembles the packaging for an imaginary mid-century space toy, centred upon a mechanical figure within a box labelled "ASTROSCOUT" and "MYSTERY ACTION", together with the small badge-like inscription "FRIENDS OF ROCKET MAIL - NUMBER 1". The work is an excellent example of Hannah's fascination with vernacular lettering, Americana, toys, popular graphics and the discarded visual culture of the twentieth century. The print is also particularly attractive as an early Cakes & Ale Press work, dating from 2006 and from a small edition of only fifty. Contemporary accounts describe Hannah's press as his cottage-industry vehicle for publishing limited-edition screenprints, books and ephemera. Very good to excellent condition overall, with strong fresh colour and only minor evidence of handling; pencil signature, date and edition number remain clear. Large original signed colour woodcut by Jonny Hannah, measuring 63.4 × 89.8 cm, issued in a limited edition of only 50 impressions, this example number 4/50, signed and dated 2013 by the artist in pencil and carrying the Cakes & Ale Press imprint. The title translates as "Lighthouses in Brittany", and Hannah constructs the image as an oversized piece of imagined Breton commercial ephemera: a stylised lighthouse rises through the centre, surrounded by waves, birds, arrows, stars and the large lettering "PHARES EN BRETAGNE", while the border incorporates the wording "FINEST QUALITY SARDINES", directly evoking Brittany's historic fishing and canned-fish industries. Printed in a restricted palette of turquoise-blue, dark brown and white, the work recalls the graphic language of old sardine tins, food labels, shipping advertisements and coastal trade signs rather than conventional landscape printmaking. Hannah's longstanding fascination with maritime culture, vernacular lettering and commercial graphics is particularly concentrated here, while the woodcut technique gives the surface a deliberately rough, weathered character through broken areas of colour, carved texture and irregular printed edges. At nearly 90 cm high, the work has considerable physical presence and is among the more substantial formats within Hannah's printmaking. Very good to excellent condition overall, with strong colour, only light natural handling and paper irregularity, and the pencil signature, date and edition number 4/50 remaining clear and legible. Add to basketNo Binding. Condition: Near Fine. Hannah, Jonny. Sweetheart of the Rodeo. Cakes & Ale Press, 2003. Early original signed colour screenprint by Jonny Hannah, measuring 38 × 56 cm, issued in a limited edition of only 50 impressions, this example number 31/50, signed by the artist in pencil and carrying the Cakes & Ale Press identification in the right-hand margin. Printed in a highly effective restricted palette of warm red and pale blue-grey, the composition combines an oversized cowboy boot, a freely arranged lower-case alphabet, star-decorated western-style lettering and a sharply dressed hat-wearing figure, with the title "Sweetheart of the Rodeo" running vertically down the right-hand side and the lower section incorporating Hannah's characteristically humorous injunction "Why not take this here proper writing and make your own smartalecky words." The title strongly recalls The Byrds' influential 1968 album Sweetheart of the Rodeo, a landmark of country rock associated with the group's collaboration with Gram Parsons, although Hannah's image is not a reproduction of the album sleeve; instead, he draws upon the broader visual world of country music, Americana and rodeo graphics. The alphabet is equally important, transforming an educational motif into a playful exercise in hand lettering and making typography itself one of the central subjects of the image. Dating from 2003, the print is a particularly appealing early example of Hannah's independent printmaking, already combining the music, humour, vernacular graphics and handmade lettering that became hallmarks of his work. Very good to excellent condition overall, with strong colour, only minor natural handling and paper irregularity, and the pencil signature and edition number 31/50 remaining clear. Add to basketNo Binding. Condition: Near Fine. Hannah, Jonny. If I Was the Old Man of the Sea. Cakes & Ale Press, 2012. Large original signed colour woodcut by Jonny Hannah, measuring 72 × 89.8 cm, issued in a limited edition of only 50 impressions, this example number 4/50, signed and dated 2012 by the artist in pencil and carrying the Cakes & Ale Press imprint beneath the image. Printed in a striking restricted palette of deep blue and warm pink, the composition takes the form of a large tapering, flame- or teardrop-shaped field densely populated with hand-drawn lettering and fantastical maritime imagery, including an old man in a hat, bird- and fish-like forms, a mermaid figure and curling organic motifs. The title phrase "If I was the old man of the sea…" appears within the upper section, while further fragments of text, including reference to "the lonely mermaid", are woven directly into the pictorial structure. The title invokes the long-established literary and folkloric figure of the Old Man of the Sea, but Hannah does not illustrate a single canonical source; instead, he reworks the archetype through his own characteristic world of sailors' tales, folk imagery, maritime songs, tattoo-like forms and vernacular lettering. The woodcut technique is especially effective here, with broad carved passages, broken texture and irregular relief-print surfaces reinforcing the handmade, almost talismanic character of the design. At nearly 90 cm high, the work has considerable physical presence, while the unusually concentrated blue-and-pink palette gives the composition strong visual unity. Very good to excellent condition overall, with strong colour, only light natural handling and paper irregularity, and the pencil signature, date and edition number 4/50 remaining clear and legible. The subject is the influential American jazz saxophonist, composer and arranger Gerry Mulligan (1927-1996), one of the defining baritone saxophonists of post-war jazz and a major figure in the development of cool jazz; Mulligan contributed arrangements to the sessions later collected as Miles Davis's Birth of the Cool and subsequently formed his celebrated pianoless quartet with trumpeter Chet Baker, a partnership directly acknowledged in Hannah's inclusion of the words "Chet & Gerry". Rather than producing a conventional portrait, Hannah constructs an affectionate visual biography from clothing, typography and fragments of musical culture: a large pale-blue jacket and tie dominate the centre, accompanied by a substantial shoe and playful hand-lettered observations including "He wore jackets like this" and "He wore shoes like this. FACT.", together with Mulligan's name, decorative lettering and small graphic details. Printed in powder blue, coral-red, dark blue-black, cream and tan on a warm buff sheet, the composition recalls the graphic world surrounding mid-century jazz — record sleeves, club posters, advertising, tailoring and printed ephemera — while remaining unmistakably Hannah's own. The unusually restricted edition of 25, substantial size and strong jazz subject give the work particular collector appeal. Very good to excellent condition overall, with strong colour, only light natural handling and minor paper irregularity, and the pencil signature, date and edition number 13/25 remaining clear. Contact seller5-star sellerFirst Modern Library edition of Maugham's classic satire. Small octavo, original publisher's cloth, patterned endpapers. From the library of Raymond Chandler with his library stamp to the title page: Raymond Chandler 6925 Neptune Place La Jolla, California. Subsequently from the library of Chandlerâs personal secretary, fiancà , and muse Jean Vounder-Davis, with her ownership inscription opposite the title page. Raymond Chandler was a pivotal figure in 20th-century American literature, renowned for his contributions to the hardboiled crime genre. His work, particularly through the chronicles of private detective Philip Marlowe, provided a nuanced examination of moral ambiguity, societal corruption, and the complexities of justice. Chandlerâs novels, including The Big Sleep and Farewell, My Lovely, explored themes of class, power, and alienation, while also engaging with the conventions of noir fiction. Marked by its economy of language and careful attention to atmosphere, his writing elevated the detective genre, merging literary qualities with the structural elements of crime fiction. His literary legacy remains central to ongoing academic discourse in the fields of literature, cultural studies, and criminology. Chandler moved to California in the 1920s, eventually settling in La Jolla, a coastal community in San Diego County. His time in California, particularly in La Jolla, had a significant influence on his writing. The stark contrast between the regionâs natural beauty and the social complexities of its urban centers shaped the settings and themes in his works. Very good in a very good dust jacket. A critical examination of social conventions, literary culture, and the complexities of personal identity in early 20th-century England, Maughamâs Cakes and Ale is narrated by William Ashenden, a writer who reflects on his interactions with Rosie Driffield, a woman involved in a scandal. The title, referencing a line from Shakespeareâs Twelfth Night, suggests the pursuit of life's simple pleasures. The novel examines the divide between public image and private reality, highlighting the conflict between traditional morality and modern, more liberated values.…
