Well wriitten with a detailed and personal knowledge of the Battalion. Its first action at Loos resulted in very heavy losses and on the Somme in August Martinpuuich was successfully taken, though again there was a price to pay. Other engagements followed. 168pp.,list of Officers who served in France with fates, honours and awards, 23 portraits by Herbert Gunn who served in the unit. Modest ex-library with numbers to spine and a few stamps, Original green cloth a little rubbed and gilt titling to spine a little faint. Overall a good+ copy.
