He advocated the annexation of Baja California to the United States and participated in the "last all-American filibustering attempt" on Baja California in 1890. Acclaimed novel about WWII. Inscribed in pencil by Keynes` Nephew Stephen Keynes on the front endpaper, "JMK". Stephen Keynes took over JMK`s rooms at King`s College Cambridge and inherited the books there. For those of the books which had no ownership entry by JMK (most of them), Stephen noted the provenance. The author was quite a prolific writer, this publication is quite uncommon.
