Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. This is one of Sgt. Beef's most interesting and perplexing cases. It involves a murder, but one in which no body can be found. Young Rogers announces to Beef and others assembled in a local pub that he has committed a murder-then takes his own life. But where is the victim? How did it happen? "I always supposed," says Beef. "a murder case started with a corpse, and then you had to find out 'oo done it. This time we know 'oo's done it, but we can't find the corpse." Add to basketHard Cover. Dust Jacket Condition: Dust Jacket. First Edition. First UK Edition. Publisher's red boards with white lettering to the front board and spine. A faint mark to the front board otherwise VG indeed. In the rare VG D/W that has been price-clipped to the front flap. The D/W is complete with just a touch of loss at the top left hand corner of the front panel (not affecting any lettering) and a slightly darkened spine. Inexplicably the D/W is a couple of millimetres short in length. It does not appear to have been trimmed to the bottom edge so perhaps this is a production fault. Great photographic artwork. Rare.
