Condition: Fair. 1897. No edition remarks. 1002 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt lettering. Pages are mildly tanned with visible foxing. Heavy cracking to gutters. Mild thumb-marking present. Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing and notable marking to boards. Heavy tanning to board edges and spine, which has mild crushing and tearing to ends. Binding is shaky. Book has forward lean.

A school prize rebind with gilt school crest to front board, marbled end papers and gilt edged. Pages are moderately tanned and occasionally foxed throughout. End-papers are more notably foxed. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Peeling and loss to leather elements. Spine gilt is dulled. Front board is sunned and damp stained.
