Spine, binding and covers all fine with gilt titles on spine and front cover and beautiful illustration on front cover. Nice green robust boards. No other inscription and contents are clean throughout with light tanning on edges. 248 pages.

Flat signed by author to front free endpaper. Slight cracking to gutters with exposed netting, pages slightly loose. Pages and illustrations have light tanning and foxing throughout. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Slight crushing to spine ends. Wear marks overall.

Fantastical children's adventure. No date (1939). Signed presentation from the author on the front endpaper, "With the author's kind regards, John F. Macpherson 1939." An edition came out in 1908. Neat gift inscription on front endpaper from one 'Uncle Tom', otherwise very good indeed. Signedes.

Also includes a hand written postcard from the author to the same previous owner. Chipping along bottom of spine; some fraying/loss to cloth. Bumping to corners. A few marks to covers. Some foxing.
