In questa terza impressione ordinatamente disposta ed accresciuta d'alquanti sonetti che nelle due antecedenti edizioni erano stati omessi. Senza dati ma Hertz Venezia dopo il 1692. Volume in -12, 14x9 cm, pp 228, legatura ottocentesca mezza pelle con titolo e fregi impressi in oro al dorso. Ex libris al contropiatto, sporadiche fioriture, buone condizioni generali. Raccolta di versi indirizzati dal Lazzarelli contro Bonaventura Arrighini soprannominato Don Ciccio. La raccolta, che gia' circolava manoscritta, venne pubblicata a Venezia nel 1668. Il Lazzarelli, data la natura scabrosa dei versi, cerco' di fermarne la diffusione ma inutilmente. Nel 1692, rivisti i sonetti, decise di pubblicarne una edizione che denomino' 'legittima' e che venne pubblicata a Venezia da Hertz. A questa, non datata, ma ascrivibile ai primi del Settecento, seguiranno altre edizioni e molte contraffazioni. …

L'abate Giovanni Francesco Lazzarelli (Gubbio, 1621 ? 1693), compiuti gli studi giuridici a Perugia, ottenne la protezione del Cardinale Carpegna, ricoprendo in seguito svariate cariche religiose, giuridiche e amministrative sia in Umbria che nelle Marche e in Emilia. Compose le circa 400 liriche che compongono la "Cicceide" in scherno di Bonaventura Arrighini (Lucca, 1624-1685), da lui detto appunto "Don Ciccio", mentre era Uditore rotale a Macerata, e, dopo che per il loro carattere licenzioso iniziarono a circolare in forma anonima, ne ottenne la messa all'Indice nel 1690. Nel 1692 dette alle stampe la versione che definì, appunto, "legittima". L'operetta è considerata un tipico esempio di poesia seicentesca, tra il satirico e l'erotico. Antica nota d'attribuzione al foglio del titolo e all'ultima bianca: L'Autore fu Gio. Francesco Lazzarelli da Gubbio Preposto della Mirandola, e sotto il nome di Don Ciccio vien deriso Bonaventura Arrighini di Lucca. Aloni lievi al margine interno di alcune pp., normali quanto leggere bruniture. Buon esemplare. Curiosa e notissima opera, apparsa anonima nel 1692, dovuta a Giovan Francesco Lazzarelli (con la collaborazione, forse, anche di Francesco Bagni di Fano), più volte sequestrata con l'accusa di oscenità. La presente edizione, di data ignota ma dei primi del XVIII secolo, è probabilmente l'unica stampa veneziana (la terza in assoluto) del poema e contiene diversi componimenti in edizione originale. Nell'opera, posta all'indice per il carattere lubrico si molti suoi versi, è ridicolizzato, sotto il nome Don Ciccio, l'Arrighini, collega del Lazzarelli nella Ruota di Macerata. L'opera venne apprezzata, tra gli altri, da Francesco Redi, da Pierre Bayle e da Goethe. Il Lazzarelli (Gubbio, 1621-MIrandola, 1693), proposto della Mirandola, socio dell'Arcadia (Altemone Sepiate), scrisse anche un Oratorio sul Sepolcro di Cristo.
