Black and white steel engraving, image measures approximately 12.2 x 18.7cm. Two small spots of foxing, one in the centre of the image and the other on the margin, otherwise a very clean image. An engraving from China in a Series of Views, Displaying the Scenery, Architecture, and Social Habits of that Ancient Empire, Drawn from Original and Authentic Sketches by Thomas Allom with Historical and Descriptive Notices by The Rev. G.N. Wright.
