The books are tightly bound with sunning to the edges of the brown end papers and owner inscription to the front end paper. There is toning to the page edges and heavy toning to the opening end papers and title pages, but the interior text block is clean. The title page confirms the year of publication as 1869. Part I covers pages 1-351 and part II pages 370 to 844.
