Internally, generally very clean, but has some smoke damage to the top edge of the initial pages, and to the bottom closed page edge. Overall a very useable copy, enhanced by the author's signature. Profuse facsimiles and illustrations throughout. Perhaps most important of the three volumes as it includes the text of many letters not previously reproduced. 280 x 210 mm (11 x 8¼ inches). .
