A practically fine clean copy. The stated limitation of this, Miriam Macgregor's first commissioned work, was 1,000 copies. However, this was reduced through spoilage to "about 800". Limited edition of 1,000 copies. An early Whittington Press publication, and Miriam Macgregor's first published work of wood engravings. Apparently, there were a large number of damaged copies, reducing the actual number of copies to around 800 from the 1,000 intended.

Signed and dated by Jim Turner to the title page. No publication history, so presumed privately printed with a small run. Lettering by Robin Tanner with a some B&W decorations, mainly as tailpieces. Glue weakening on the spine, so several pages near detached: fragile. Glassine wrap a little discoloured. Scuffing to cover and page edges. Slight sunning to page margins along with slight creasing from handling. Gentle, thoughtful poems from a Cotswold poet. The first three volumes were previously printed by the Whittington Press.
