Top corners bumped> Light rub wear on corners and top & bottom edges of spine. Page edges lightly tanned, inside bright, white and tightly bound. Spine slightly titled. Dust Jacket Condition: Poor. due to wear on edges, a few small mm tears. Top corner clipped inside top flap. Synopsis: The first Massachusetts State Police mystery. Trooper Scott Gregory and Detective Lieutenant Justin Bassett search for a kidnapped eight-year-old girl. Approx. Size: 5 1/4" -x 7 3/4" tall.

Hardcover. Condition: Good+. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. Book Club Edition. The book is in OK shape, corners and spine ends bumped, slight cant to book, clean and unmarked. The jacket has lots of rubbing and small white spots, edge and corner wear and chipping. Back of jacket is browning and some ink notes.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. This book is from back in the day Department stores rented books for 2 or 3 cents a day. In this case the store was H. Lee and Company from philadelphia. Very good condition. No dust jacket.

Dust jacket illustrated by S. A. Summit, light edge wear, clean, photo of author on the back panel, some sunning to spine and now protected in a clear archival cover. A excellent copy in the hardcover book club edition for the fussy reader/collector. Experienced full-time bookseller since 1994 (selling online since 1998). Images may be added by request.
