The book and its contents are in generally clean, bright condition. There is a spot of fading / water spotting. The text pages are clean and bright, with the exception of some of the color from the book cover that has run in a smallish line across the bottom end of the text block. The price-clipped dust jacket has some edge wear, nicking, a couple of tiny edge tears and one shallow chip to the bottom front edge. There is one smallish spot of pink / reddish discoloration where the color bled from the book cover. "Brunner is credited with coining the term 'worm' (in computing) and predicting the emergence of computer viruses in his 1975 novel The Shockwave Rider, in which he used the term to describe software which reproduces itself across a computer network.
