A near very good copy, the binding soiled and rubbed with a slight spine lean. The contents are entirely complete but spotted throughout and with a partially erased previous owner's signature to the front pastedown. With the supplied proof state dustwrapper which is in exceptional condition having been stored flat for the majority of its 85 year existence. The dustwrapper is identical in design to the regular first edition but without the publisher's price of 3/6 net to the upper panel, spine and flap corners and with slightly different type setting to the lettering at the top of both flaps (all titles listed remain the same).
