Hardcover. Condition: Fair. 4th Edition. Hardback with red leather spine and paper-covered boards. Fourth edition revised "with numerous emendations and additions". Undated. 219pp. Engraved views of cities appear on 12 plates, with three views to a plate. Two other plates show the Earth and Europe. The cities agree with those on… the list of plates, so are assumed complete although they don't correspond to the page numbering. Leather cracked at hinges, but binding sound. Gilt spine titles and decorative bands are bright. Paper of the boards is markedly rubbed and soiled. Front fep has been neatly removed. Ownership names to front pastedown and the half title. A water stain affects the prelims and occasional foxing found throughout. A few pencil annotations, else essentially clean internally. Corner creasing to some pages confined to the margins. An fair to good copy overall. Pics available on request.

[8] pp. The book contains eight short juvenile poems with titles of: The Poor Travellers, The Sailor's Return, The Storm, The Strayed Cow, Refreshment, The Tired Soldier, Fighting Cocks and Market-Day; each poem is illustrated with a half page woodcut printed in black, four of which have been hand-colored; internally the book is very fresh and clean. The condition of the book is NEAR FINE.
