Geburtstags präsentiert das Museum der bildenden Künste Leipzig die bislang größte Retrospektive des Weltbürgers und Künstlers Sachs. Der vorliegende Bildband dokumentiert dieses einzigartige Ereignis in Form eines Ausstellungsrundgangs und zeigt dabei einen Gunter Sachs, der oft überraschend anders ist, als die bunten Schlagzeilen vermuten lassen. Die Ausstellung von Gunter Sachs im Museum für bildende Künste in Leipzig 2008 war für mich eine der schönsten Ausstellungen, die ich bisher in meinem Leben gesehen habe. Ein ästetisches Erlebnis, an das ich mich noch heute gerne erinnere. Das Buch vermittelt einen Eindruck- die wunderbaren Fotografien von Gunter Sachs- in ihrer Tiefe- kann ein Buch leider nicht widergeben. Es lohnt sich aber trotzdem, einen Blick reinzuwerfen. The last printed page 947 / 948 only a fifth remains of that page. The lower right part of the paste down, on the rear board gone. Sounds like a battered copy with a lot of tear and wear but sound worse that it is. The charm of a very old book in it's original binding is still here.
