Pictorial Cloth. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Very Good, plus some. Columbus, OH: Oasis Publishing Co., 1907. First edition, signed and inscribed by Clark "yours for the millenium." on the ffep. 7" x 4.75", gilt pictorial dark blue cloth. Shelf wear, strongly along bottom edges, still a strong Very Good plus. Sturdy and bright. See scans. A look - in 1907 - by historical muralist Egbert Norman Clark at the transformation the human psyche was encountering during the first few years after the run of the nineteenth century. A familiar sounding passage echos from his introductory paragraph: ""The most advanced thinkers and students of sociology of the day all agree that the human race is now passing through a transitional period in its development, and that, as a social fabric, we are rapidly approaching a crisis." With chapter titles taken from astrology - numbered "ages" dominated each by a planet - and strong spiritual opinions by Clark throughout ("Humanity Is God!!!) - a fascinating, telling, uncategorizable futuristic book. Very rare in its first edition; this one is signed, and as such is probably not replaceable. See scans. L18n. Signed and Inscribed By Author.
