    vi, [14], 62pp. With an engraved folding frontispiece and a lengthy list of subscribers. Uncut in original publisher's powder blue paper boards, later rebacked. Extremities rubbed and heavily marked. Hinges exposed. Armorial bookplate of the Molyneux family and near contemporary gift inscription to FEP: '5th March 1811 / Thos. Molyneux / Kings Own Rifles / the gift of his father / Colonel Molyneux / on his going into the Army', FFEP detached, short marginal tear to frontispiece at gutter, small worm- track to gutter of initial gathering. The sole Dublin edition of a practical martial treatise concerning elementary siege warfare tactics. First printed at London in 1804 - at the height of the Napoleonic invasion scare - the book was favourably received by the Imperial Review (November, 1804, p.461): 'As a popular work.this before us will certainly by very useful, and may be recommended to the attention of our volunteer corps in general. The engraving prefixed to the volume, exhibits at one view the most material instrument used in fortification and gunnery'. OCLC records copies at just four locations (Boston, BL, NLI, and Trinity College Dublin); COPAC adds one further (NAM). Size: 8vo.

Light browning, otherwise very good in the original publisher's boardsxc, a little rubbed, the spine slightly marked by the removal of old tape. vi. [iipp.] subscriber's list, 62pp. Printed for the Author, Some impressive subscribers including the Duke of York, 2 copies, M[aj.] Gen. Torrens, Capt. Fitz Clarence, and the "Illustrious Duke of Wellington" himself down for a total of eight copies! Jennings is described as "General Accountant", the only other publication listed for him in NSTC is Jennings' Accountancy, published Dublin 1802. Uncommon. This edition not in the BL, NSTC or on OCLC which lists only one copy of the 1804 First Edition and two of the 1808 Second.
