Hardcover. Condition: Very Good +. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Purple hardcover has wear/ light tanning at edges with bumped corners and a couple of nicks. The FFE has a 1" closed tear at top edge and the next page has penciled, now erased, children's names. All other pages are clean, tight and unmarked.

Beautifully illustrated throughout by the author, including endpapers. Binding a little rubbed to extremities. Dust jacket showing light rubbing, frayed to corners and spine tips with a 1cm square loss at foot; minimal marking. Very good indeed.
