Blue cloth with gilt spine titling, good with staining, heavily faded to spine and along top edges, lightly bumped to spine ends and bottom fore-edge corners. Spine tilted forward. Binding sound. Lightly foxed to textblock edges and endsheets, and only sparsely through text; pages toned, text else unmarked. Signed.

Signed on the front free endpaper by author. (Currey, page 456). E.E. Smith (1890-1965) was an American science fiction writer, best known for his Lensman and Skylark series. He is often referred to as the father of space opera, a subgenre of science fiction that looks at warfare in space. Signed.
