Brixner's work using cameras to photograph the implosion method showed the physicists that they had erred in their calculations, and he captured photographs and films of other explosions and the dropping of dummy bombs to help the scientists better understand the science and physics behind them. A comprehensive study of the history, purpose, and construction of the Great Pyramid of Giza. The author, English astronomer Richard A. Proctor (1837-1888), is most known for having produced one of the earliest maps of Mars. In "The Great Pyramid: Observatory, Tomb, and Temple," Proctor discusses why the Great Pyramid was an astronomical observatory while Cheops lived. His work also shows how strong ancient superstitions about planetary influences were.
