Rebound in cloth binding with decorative paper-covered boards. Externally very smart indeed, there is only some very minor shelfwear. Internally, the pages are firmly bound and are generally bright and clean, aside from the usual foxing to endpages. There is an inkstamp to pastedown. Very Good Indeed. book.

Covers shelfworn, rubbed, paper peeling, missing paper on front and back, corners and spine tips bumped and worn, contemporary ink number and stamped name (Isaac Watts Hybbard) on endpapers, faint pencil on endpaper and last page, title page lacks small piece at bottom, one page with 1.25" edge tear, faint staining in margins, a few pages have short edge tears, foxed throughout. Overall good and textblock is tight. Isaac Watts Hubbard, 1794-1871 and known as "Watts" operated a distillery in Windsor, Vermont. Very SCARCE title, even in one volume of the FIRST AMERICAN EDITION.
