(Front joint a little weak, the label slightly perished). Printed in an edition of 250 copies, of which 12 are said to be on large paper. This is a large paper copy, with the sheets unopened and in fine condition, with the Corrigenda slip. It is a presentation copy, inscribed on the half title: "With the authors best respect, to Henry Hallam Esq &c &c in the hope, that should his fine and classical taste incline him to be of opinion that the English Hexameter may ultimately become not unworthy of the language, he will extend the encouragement of his approbation and patronage to this imperfect attempt".
