The author, a well-known Mason born in Colonial de Sacramento, attempted in this publication to call the attention of public opinion in Great Britain to the lack of liberty in Portugal because of the Inquisition; there is no doubt that although he did not bring about the intervention of the British government or the suppression of the Inquisition, at least he had success in alerting the British press; the author had important rolls in the events leading to Argentine independence; this copy belonged to Patricio Maguire whose Masonic library, acquired in totality by Librería de Antaño, considered being one of the best in Latin America.
