This is a surprisingly good book, from its topic (look hard at the title) and in that it is scholarly though very approachable and has about 200 footnotesI've found it very useful. VG copy in a G dustjacket (and probably better than that).

Inscription to front endpaper. Marginalia to a few pages. Boards have slight shelf wear with bumping to corners. Spine ends are a little crushed with light tanning. The clipped dust jacket has moderate edge wear, tears and chips to edges and spine ends. Light tanning to spine and edges.

Hardcover with dustjacket, first American printing as stated on copyright page, "a fascinating, if not eerie, entry into the world of the mechanical man," illustrated, book has four tan tape-shadows on the inside of the front and rear covers and the former owner's name is present on the blank front end-paper, the yellow cloth binding is clean and bright and the contents are fine, the jacket has some mild rubbing and mild edge-wear along with two tape-shadows on the edges of the flaps, the jacket remains presentable, the original price (5.00) is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included.
