Seine Studenten waren unter anderem Georg Christoph Schwarz, Johann Ludwig Spörl, Johann Siegmund Mörl, Johann Friedrich Stoy, Georg Christoph Feuerlein, Johann Konrad Spörl, Bernhard Friedrich Hummel und Johann Ulrich Tresenreuter. Während seiner Lehrzeit an der Universität Altdorf übte er zwölfmal das Amt des Dekans und dreimal das des Rektors aus, dazu war er deren Oberbibliothekar und Leiter des Stipendienwesens. Trotz zahlreicher Berufungen an andere Universitäten blieb er bis zu seinem Tod in Altdorf." (Wikipedia). The first two catalogues were edited by Johann Baier [1677-1735] and Erhard Reusch [1678-1740] respectively, and are usually catalogued under their names. They are frequently found bound together, sometimes with four additional works, including the Imagines Ponticum Romanarum here included, describing Ebermayer s collection of gems depicting portraits of the popes from St. Peter to Innocent XIII.
