Introduction by Augusto Centeno. 8vo, 162 pp. Publisher's two-tone gray and rust buckram boards, striped buckram spine with metallic horizontal bands and red paper spine label lettered in white. Binding tight and square; boards clean. Pages clean and unmarked—no names, bookplates, or library markings. Original price-clipped dust jacket shows a ~1" chip to front and rear panels, edgewear, and several closed tears (neatly reinforced), now protected in Brodart archival mylar. Book condition: Very Good in Fair dust jacket. "A collection of essays in which leading American writers, composers, and architects reflect on the meaning and purpose of artistic creation, with contributions by Sherwood Anderson, Thornton Wilder, Roger Sessions, and William Lescaze."
