Hardcover. Condition: Poor. No Jacket. xi, 287 pages frontispiece, illustrations, plates, diagram. Our copy of this book, though in poor condition, is of interest for its being extensively marked up in pencil as if in preparation for a second edition. The markings are unascribed, and we find no evidence that a second edition eve…r appeared. The binding is worn and faded, with dampstaining to the upper fore-corner of its rear panel; the front inner hinge is broken, the contents are age-toned, with extensive markings in pencil, and with dampstaining to the upper fore-corner of the final several leaves. The remains of a dust jacket (front flap and a portion of the front panel, the flapfold reinforced with tape) are laid in. 540 grams.
