Edges of the covers are rubbed and frayed in spots, rear board is a little wobbly. The pages look "handled," and several pages have up to one inch tears on the bottom edge, near the spine, The whole book looks well "handled" but bright and clean escept for a few fingerprints.

Ex.school book with all marks, stamps, pocket, etc. Black cloth boards have orange and silver pictorial design. Boards have edgewear, corners bumped, worn and fraying. The spine ends are worn and fraying. Upper spine end covering is torn. Decorative colorful endpapers show children and animals at play. Ffep is loose from spine halfway up the page and back free endpaper has a complete verticle tear with an old tape repair. The rest of the book is in quite good condition. Nice book considering its use and age.

DJ has a bit of rubbing to edges - small tears to top and bottom of spine. New myl ar cover. Sky blue paper on board binding has silver lettering and Seagull Library illustration. Wee bumps to corners and a bit of fading right along edges but very nice. No former owner's name. Text is clean and secure. A nice copy. Dj cond: good. Book cond: good++. Good/Good.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. A decent copy bound in blue decorative cloth boards depicting a scene with, presumably, Jo being stupid on the front board. The title lettering is clear on both spine (in gilt) and front (in black). There's a little fraying and knocking at the extremities. Handling marks and a little light soiling here and there noticeable on closer inspection. This could no doubt be cleaned up, although will be left as is for the buyer to decide. Internally the book is clean, if somewhat toned to the end papers and page block edge. There's school gift inscription, dated 1909, on the front free end paper. 8 pages of publisher's advertisements at the rear.
