photographs & illustrations (illustrator). Kerr began his naval career as a midshipman in 1879, then as a Lieutenant in the British Navy, becoming the naval attache to Italy, Austria, Turkey, and Greece in 1903. He was later made Commander of the Adriatic Squadron (naval) and recalled to England in 1917 to assist in the formation of the RAF. Kerr was CO of the South-Western Air Force Area in 1918, an area that extended from South Wales to Cherbourg and from Farnborough to the Scilly Islands. This book is a library edition and is in need of re-binding. All the pages are intact although the edges show aging. it bears a Mudies Library sticker on the hard cover.

A fine original colour lithograph from Vanity Fair, a magazine which was published from 1869-1914, featuring a large caricature portrait each week. These were drawn by various artists, the most famous of whom was Leslie Ward who used the 'nom de crayon' of "Spy". This portrait will come mounted/matted and ready to frame using archivist quality materials, mount size 18 x 12 inches, 47 x 31 cms. It will be presented in a cellophane wrapper with our label guaranteeing authenticity. We pack very well, between sheets of hardboard.
