This historical novel follows two American soldiers stationed in the French Riviera-Sam Loggins, a principled lieutenant, and Britt Harris, a charming but reckless officer-as they both fall for the same enigmatic woman, Monique. The narrative confronts issues of race, identity, and moral ambiguity, as Monique's secret forces the men to reevaluate their values and desires. Hardback.
