This is an attractive miniature edition of the Soviet-era publication Cosmonauts of the USSR, issued by Prosveshcheniye in Moscow in 1977, in the Russian language. The book is bound in cloth with gold foil stamping, creating a striking and elegant design that reflects both the prestige of the subject and the high production standards of the period. Despite its small format, the volume is visually rich and thoughtfully designed. It contains unique colour photographs of spacecraft and portraits of cosmonauts, alongside short biographical profiles and "Memoirs of Contemporaries" devoted to the leading figures of the Soviet space programme, including Yuri Gagarin, Andriyan Nikolayev, Pavel Popovich, Valery Bykovsky, Valentina Tereshkova, Vladimir Komarov, Konstantin Feoktistov, Boris Yegorov, Alexei Leonov, Georgy Beregovoy, Vladimir Shatalov, Alexei Yeliseyev, and many others.
