Hardcover. Condition: Fair. E. Stuart Hardy (illustrator). 1st Edition. With 8 colour lithograph plates and many b&w illustrations depicting children as Bakers, Shipbuilders, Printers, Potters, Dressmakers, Coach builders, Blacksmiths, Cobblers, etc. Associated poems within decorative borders. Some of the line drawings have been rather messily painted. Central section of book is loose but appears complete. A reading copy or breaker for the gorgeous colour plates.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. E. Stuart Hardy (illustrator). Pp. (4), (35). Unpaginated. Illustrated with 8 excellent colour plates by E. Stuart Hardy & with some full page black & white illustrations and illustrations in text and in decorative borders. Undated, but circa 1909. Stained at bottom corner of all pages. However this staining is largely confined to blank margins except where it has a slight effect on part of corners of decorative borders. Staple rust and a few pages towards back have become loose. Otherwise good.

The centre four leaves are detached (stapled binding) and a couple of pages have had the line drawings lightly coloured (but not vexatiously). Very light foxing to extremities, but a good, sound copy.
