A handsome Genesis production of the limited numbered edition, signed by Beatle George Harrison in black ink on the limitation page and numbered 2547 of 3500 Limited Edition sets, includes the padded black leather-bound folio-size book, the separate matching portfolio with two CD's and ephemera, all housed in a magnificent black slipcase with a slot for each. The 274-page book is in fine condition and is printed in full color and gold and red tooling on the black leather covers and includes almost 500 previously unpublished photographs with a Foreword by Eric Clapton and written contributions by George Harrison and each member of Eric Clapton's band. The 2 "Live In Japan" CDs feature 19 live recordings each printed with a specially prepared image unique to this set, and have been played to ensure they are in fine condition -- with an especially rousing version of "Roll Over Beethoven!". Also included in the CD portfolio are George Harrison and Eric Clapton guitar picks and "After Show" laminated passes. The slipcase is in fine condition with a George Harrison/Eric Clapton Tour '91 label on the front and an attached silk lift-up ribbon. A magnificent set and quite heavy. A second slim volume, titled "The Recordings," includes two CDs with two printed pages of disc song titles and a glassine envelope with an "After Show" ticket, a metal chain that holds an "All Access" pass, and four guitar picks. Slip case in Very Fine Condition Black leather with gold and red tooling. Gilt edge pages.

Limited to 3500 signed and numbered copies, of which this is 455. Additional portfolio includes two cds of George Harrison Live in Japan, along with laminated "After Show" pass and four George Harrison and Eric Clapton guitar pics, in original pouch. In 1991, George Harrison was joined on stage by Eric Clapton and band for what would be his final full-length tour. The tour consisted of twelve full shows across Japan. Clapton, in his forward, explains how Harrison was persuaded to return to touring after a seventeen year hiatus. In the first and longest chapter, George Harrison recounts his experience back on the stage, collaborating with Clapton and his band. Each subsequent chapter is written by a different member of the band, recounting what it was like working and playing with Harrison on such a monumental tour. Including a full tour itinerary, this deluxe edition gives the reader a back stage pass to one of the most significance rock-and-roll tours of the late-twentieth century. Original black full morocco blocked in red and gilt, all edges gilt, together with a cloth bound music booklet with CD trays. 'Live in Japan' features almost 500 previously unpublished photographs. A fine, as new copy. Eric Clapton explains how George was persuaded to return to touring after a break of 17 years and the the first (and longest) chapter is written by George and details his thoughts and feelings on taking to the road after such a long absence and providing personal recollections of the tour and memories of times on the road with The Beatles. The final chapter by John Harris (who engineered the live double CD) provides a revealing account of working with George in the studio. The book also includes a full itinerary of the tour, and a souvenir pack containing a laminated 'After Show' pass and Eric's and George's guitar picks. This volume sold out quickly and is a Genesis 'Hall of Fame' title.
