Inscribed by renowned Kiowa and American writer and poet N. Scott Momaday (1934-2024) to the highly esteemed American actor Gene Hackman (1930-2025) on the front free endpaper. Momaday was a winner of the Pulitzer Prize for fiction, the Academy of American Poets Prize, and the Premio Letterario Internazionale "Mondello," Italy's highest literary award.
