Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. The Map of Clay by Jack Clemo, Hardcover, First UK Edition (1961). The book contains an Introduction by Charles Causley. Book in very good condition, in a similar unclipped dust jacket. The book has slight bumping to the spine ends, and some ageing/…spotting to the page edges. The dust jacket shows a little general shelf wear. A very nice, tight and clean copy overall. (See pictures). This volume brings together the three separate collection of poems in which the author records his pilgrimage from mystic individualism to flamboyant orthodoxy. "The Clay Verge" and "The Wintry Priesthood" were first published in 1951, and the new collection, "Frontier Signals", reflects more recent developments in the poet's art and thought. Included with the book is a cut-out from a magazine of a picture of the author.
