Add to basketOriginal folding lithographed map of Hackney (56 x 44 cm), modified from Rocque's original 1745 design to reflect the district in the early 1800s. Extends from Stamford Hill in the north to Bethnal Green in the south, Dalston Kingsland in the east and Hackney Marshes in the west. Embellished with decorative border and compass rose, parks shaded in green, original outline colour. Tear to upper right portion with tape repairs to verso, generally a very good copy. Lithographed by Dean & Co., Threadneedle Street.
