The letter seems to be quite business like but difficult to decipher. She did appear in one of his plays in the 1920's so I cannot find out what or how strong their relationship was. Dame Edith Mary Evans, DBE 1888-1976 was an English actress. She was best known for her work on the stage, but also appeared in films at the beginning and towards the end of her career. Between 1964 and 1968 she was nominated for three Academy Awards. Size is 235mm x 150mm. Condition is good. Letter with folding creases and light marking. More images can be taken upon request.
