The jacket with matching illustration is unclipped with minimal edge wear, a few, unobtrusive short, closed tears only. No inscriptions or blemishes. A very nice copy of this charming title, one of a series featuring Mrs Easter by the author Violet Hilda Drummond [1911-2000]. Her painterly style complements the absurdist story of how Mrs Easter and her nephew Billie Guftie reunite two storks after one of them is abducted by a zookeeper. It won the Kate Greenaway Medal for children's books in 1957 when it first appeared.
